Your First Visit to Our David City Practice
We welcome everyone as a potential new patient to our office. Here is a run down of what you might expect when you visit our facility.

- In an effort to serve you to the best of our ability and meet federal guidelines we will be asking you for some information upon your arrival.
- You will be asked to sign in at the front desk so our staff will know who is waiting to be seen by the doctor.
- We will need a photo ID. If the address on your ID is different than your current residence, we will also ask that you bring in a piece of first class mail to confirm your current address. This is done to prevent identity theft.
- Your current insurance ID card. If you have an insurance plan that you want your services submitted to, our office will submit claims on your behalf at no extra charge.
- Acknowledgment of our Office Privacy Policy will need to be signed.
- Basic paperwork will be filled out by you, so that we may have a complete understanding of your condition and general health to best assess and serve your needs.
Next you will meet Dr. Russell Heller.
- The doctor will spend a few minutes discussing your health history and your condition with you.
- If your case appears to be a chiropractic case, the doctor will recommend an examination including chiropractic, orthopedic and neurological testing of the area to confirm his impression or to rule out more serious concerns.
- Upon completion of your examination, the doctor will give a brief explanation of what he found and what your options are. He will accept only those cases that he truly feels he can help.
- If your examination reveals that there may be other concerns, he may recommend follow up with another medical provider for a more thorough evaluation of those findings.
- Pain relief care will be rendered as appropriate with your permission.
- Recommended follow up chiropractic care will be scheduled at the front desk as you leave.
- If yours is a crisis situation of extreme pain, the preceding process will be minimized for your comfort with the gathering of some information being delayed.
- To allow time for the doctor’s thorough assessment of your problem, your first visit to our office should be expected to last approximately 1 hour including paperwork, evaluation and any treatment received.
- Partial payment is expected for your first day services.
We explain everything is advance so you always know what to expect. Take a look to see what to expect during your follow up visits.
